Eleanor Cabot

Eleanor has written about contemporary art and museum culture for fifteen years, with bylines that have appeared in art journals and weekend long-form sections. She studied art history before realizing that what interested her most was not the canon but the rooms in which the canon is decided — the museum committee, the auction-house viewing, the gallery opening, the studio at dusk. Her writing is patient, attentive to surface, and skeptical of the language the art world uses about itself.
